About us
We are a leading research center focused on promoting responsible use of antimicrobials to combat the rise of antimicrobial resistance. Our collaborative approach brings together experts from various fields to advance the understanding and implementation of antimicrobial stewardship practices. Located in Yaoundé, Cameroon, we strive to make a global impact in the fight against antimicrobial resistance.
What We Do
Promotion of research and training for sustainable antimicrobial stewardship drive in Africa, particularly generating evidence to inform on best practices for policy considerations.
Establishment and updating best-practice guidelines in establishing sustainable antimicrobial stewardship programmes in Sub-Saharan Africa, based on the best available evidence.
Identification and promotion of the next generation of leaders in sustainable antimicrobial stewardship in Sub-Saharan Africa by embarking on capacity building, research, leadership training and education.
Designing sustainable and innovative interventions against AMR that will scale-up a Community of Practice (CoP) for people and communities in Sub-Saharan Africa, irrespective of their socio-demographic, religion and/or economic statuses.
Establishment of partnerships and networks with other Organisations (public-private, private-private, national, international, regional, global) for antimicrobial stewardship that will promote Africa's developmental agenda.
Facilitation and Advocacy activities for the implementation of national antimicrobial stewardship programmes in Sub-Saharan Africa and beyond.
Public education including risk communication, community engagement and sensitization on AMR and the benefits of antimicrobial stewardship implementation.
